Coolant issue - 97 Turbo

Can people attempt to answer the following:

Should the header tank contain water and to what level when the engine is cool?

I have a leak in the coolant system and want to top it up but not overfill if that is possible.

I think the leak may be at the bottom left of the radiator if looking at the car stright on - is there a weak point there?

All advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Theres 2 filling points....fill the header tank up full to the top and behind the passenger side headlight....fill this up to the full mark.

quite common for the end tanks to split on the rads causing a loss of coolant. It isnt always noticeable unless the engine is under pressure (ie throtttle open)
