Andrew,

Yes, I got one too and I intend going along.

Go for it, it should be good fun.

Hi All,

Received a letter today about Noble's annual track day at Knockhill.

Anybody else thinking about going ?

This might actually convince me to get on the track. The price is right (free!) and they are even throwing in lunch http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Andrew.

Big Den 21 April 2001 11:20 PM

Yep, I got the Noble's letter this morning.

Considering going along but don't know if I'll take my Suzy on the track. Would be interested to see what Prodrive cars will be there & the new WRX is also supposed to be on show.

McCrash 22 April 2001 08:31 PM

Is this a Nobles customer/invitation only thing or can you just turn up? I didn't buy my car from them but have handed over several packets of wad in servicing and tyres etc.

WillieF 22 April 2001 09:11 PM

I believe - having been before - that it is invite only afterall nobles are paying for lunch and the track time.

However if you don't ask them you won't know will you? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

John Stevenson 23 April 2001 12:12 AM

George/John, Kames has just been resurfaced and can now be run in both directions for a bit of diversity. The club (East Ayrshire are having a practise day for the Scottish Sprint Championship and Members, at the end of May. This means the event callander that has been screwed up by F&M will be being revised (meeting on 24/4/01 to discuss). After this, available spots should be apparent. Watch this space. (P.S. George you a member of East Ayrshire ?)

I did buy my car there and didn't get an invite http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

GEORGEB 23 April 2001 09:39 AM

I have phoned them and it is for customers who have bought a car in the last 12 months only.

Anyone interested in a day at Kames sprint track in Ayrshire ? I could try and arrange something if enough interest

I attended the one two years ago (Robbie Head was there giving passenger laps, driving your own car if you want http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif), and confirm it was by invitation only.

George,

the other John who posted up above you was hopefully going to arrange a date at Kames for us, which was closed a while ago due to the F&M crisis. We'll hopefully get a suitable date organised soon.

GEORGEB 23 April 2001 01:26 PM

Was a member until last year when I gave up rallying. I have friends on the committee so if you want me to find out more , let me know

I think S&S would probably have a stand etc

John Stevenson 23 April 2001 04:22 PM

Hi George, I've already made enquiries with Eddie regarding possible dates, the F&M have thrown a spanner in the works, the meeting tomorrow should pull it all back together however. I'm told the track/paddock area looks great now its been resurfaced.

Got my invitation today http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

taz 25 April 2001 08:29 PM

I bought my car from Nobles less than a year ago and have not received an invitation yet. Looks like they do not want my business again

Taz(hacked off)

AndrewW 25 April 2001 08:39 PM

Ah Taz,

But was it a turbo.

I believe that there may be a bit of snobbery on the go here, with only turbo owners being invited.

Sorry mate, would have been good yo have you there.

Andrew.

G`Day

Im sorry but i dont take nobels very seriously. On my first scoob i bought a year ago they were 1500 quid down on what another scoob dealer offered me on exact same deal. Plus i got super chip and bigger wheels.

Just got settlement from insurance and the lady with the subaru jacket didn t want to no when i went round last week.

Moral of story "It pays to shop around"

Paul
