Just wondering the above, as I ate one for breakfast on the M6 yesterday:D

I had one for lunch today. Leaves a smile on yer face don't it....;)

Any car is only as fast as the owner want's it to be.

Maybe he wasn't trying. Maybe it was brand new, so he engine was tight. Or just maybe he couldn't be @rsed to race you. :)

Oh he was arsed alright...he baited me for about 3 miles, right up my backside. I only gave in because he kept pulling into the fast lane and was side by side with me, egging me on..so, I waited for a nice big gap and off I went, He kept up with me for about 10 seconds, think he wished he hadn't bothered!:lol1:

Nice one, i kept up with a 51 reg 911 of some sort on the A14, from slip road to 120ish(right up to his bumper, with a big grin on my face i'm sure he could see it! lol..... then i thought bugger getting caught so backed off he did'nt...guess he sort of won....but he will still have this vision of me in my 03 sti ppp with a big grin on my face BIG in his mirrors from 30 through to 120:norty: , all over his rear end! If i was a few years younger i might have taken him all the way? lol!..... :D Just hope whenever he boasts about his 911 whatever he see's my face! lol:hjtwofing

Threads like this are handy as it really shows out those who are NOT proper driving enthusiasts.

Porsche make great drivers cars, fact. Now you may not want to buy one and there may be many people out there who buy them to pose in etc. However, this does not detract from the cars themselves. Before you criticise the typical porsche driver, look at the typical scoob driver first ;)

As for 'poor mans whatever', what an absurd and silly point. EVERY car is a poor mans something else. Buy a Ferrari F430 why? It's a poor mans Enzo :rolleyes: Now there's many here I'm sure have recently left school (or still there!) but most of you are grown adults. A bit of joshing and winding up is great and we all do it. However if you're one of those that seriously believes some of the tripe I've heard on this thread (and others) then you really need to wake up.

Dont think outright straight line speed is a Boxster forte, I had a go at one in my Saab 9-3 and the girl driving it was thrashing it and there wasnt an awful lot in it, and mines only the humble 150 bhp lpt model, however I would rather have a Boxster than a Saab 9-3 or a pink Subaru anyday, even if it does make you look like an budget airline pilot, come to think of it I would mind being a budget airline pilot either.
