Restrictive Scorpin exhaust??

Just been at a rolling road today.was well upset as my classic 94 is only running 222bhp ??? they guys at AVA told me the Scorpion 2.5" system was restricting the output {Backbox} can I have some advice on the Best backbox to fit so that its 2.5" at both ends?? thanks for the help

You mean AVA as is in Linwood direction? I wouldn't be listening to them mate. I run 2.5" (as many others do too) and i was pushing 330bhp and now going on to 400bhp. Andy F i believe has run over 400bhp using 2.5" system.

I would be looking elsewhere for your problems.

222bhp is good isnt it? thort they were only meant to be bout 208bhp?

Yes if it is a UK classic. If it is an early wrx classic it should be about 230-235bhp (240 on japanese fuel)

mines a my93wrx import....ive also got a 2.5 scorpion back box with a few minor mods.....i had it tested yesterday and the results were 289bhp/294lbs.

the exit from the backbox is very small,they said this is the problem/also the 222bhp is at the wheels is this where you quote from or is it flywheel? yes its an import

If your car got 222bhp at the wheel, then there is noting wrong with the scoprion back box... cos the result is very good!

You'll get more from the stock factory backbox LOL

...I'd be looking at the other end of the car for the cause ;)

The higher (and most common) BHP results is at the flywheel
