SMACS to LeMan 24 Hour

How fancies doing LeMan 24 this year. The dates of this event is 17/18th June.

The general thing would be drive down to portsmouth, ferry across, drive to the circuit, camp over night and enjoy the atmosphere, do a bit of sleeping and drive back.

Let me know soon whos interested and I'll look into tickets and ferrys.

Mike! This is so, like, last year!

Plans are already in place! Meant to tell you! Call me tomorrow.

:)

Thanks for the post guys, but the matter is in hand, although whether I'm going to be allowed to go is another matter :)
jay has already done us a rough costing spreadsheet,
Cost per car

Ferry £60.00
Fuel £250.00
Camping £75.00

Total per car £385.00
How many people in each car? 3

Cost per person for travel & accomodation £128.33
LeMans entry ticket per person £40.00
Food allowance per person £75.00

Total estimate per person £243.33

DOES NOT INCLUDE ALCOHOL!!!

so, as you can see, roughly, if you take 3 passengers it will cost you each £243 + a 3 way split of the £385 car cost. Personally, I'm up for carrying 4 people in my car, no problem, and will really bring the cost down.
Only problem I've got is going to the scoobyball 6 the weekend before in cambridge :( which will leave me a bit skint that month.
have to do some extra extra o/t I guess :)
chris.

The problem is not how many people you can carry, but where all their duty free is going to go in the way back ;) (for Personal Consumption obviously)

Mad Scientist 20 January 2006 11:26 AM

Well I can only carry 1 passenger, they will need a helmet, and there is no room for any luggage what so ever! Should get there pretty quick though!
.................and I don't mean my bike!
:)

cw42 20 January 2006 02:44 PM

As this has clashed with the NBO, I can safely say that it's a no-goer this year to Le Man :(
If they don't clash next year, it's in the diary, although I will be doing another euro tour in 2007 :D
