Hi all

It's that time of year again and the Cameron House Hotel beckons once more
for the SIDC Central Scotland meet. Those who attended last year will
recall a tasty barbecue followed by an enjoyable drive through some great
countryside, and a free dram at the end of it all which could be enjoyed
when you got home!

I'm not quite as organised as I was last year (thus no fancy web page with
information) but here's the rough guide to this year's event...

(1) Barbecue lunch at Cameron House Hotel, as per last year.

(2) leisurely (!) departure (in groups) from the hotel to aim for the
Croft-Na-Caber centre at Kenmore, where...

(3) ...around 4pm you can go for a 15min spin up Loch Tay in a 5-seat
speedboat, or a longer and more sedate 45min cruise up the Loch instead.

Croft-na-caber also has bar facilities which you can use after your
encounters with Loch Tay :>

The Costs:

- lunch: I haven't established an exact cost for the lunch yet but the SIDC
have kindly offered to subsidise the meal again this year. Last year the
BBQ cost roughly £15 per head _before_ the subsidy, I'll try to keep the
costs similar this year. You don't *need* to be an SIDC member to attend,
but application forms will be available on the day (hint, hint) ;>

- boat trips: Bob Nottger from King & Sons, the Subaru dealer in Aberfeldy
(just down the road from Kenmore) has again kindly offered to subsidise our
afternoon activities: as a result the boat trips will only be £10 a head.

What you need to do:

All are welcome: but in order to ensure everything works smoothly, I need to
know how many adults and children will be attending. If you wish to attend
then please send an email (offlist please) to cameron@leask.org, stating:

- your car
- # adults
- # children

I'll assume that everyone who attends will be doing a boat trip unless you
say otherwise. Given the short notice, I'll collect the money on the day
(ie I'm trusting you!)

See you soon

Cameron

Hi all

Just a reminder that I NEED TO KNOW if you intend to attend the meeting at Cameron House this coming Sunday (10 September). I currently expect around 35 people attending and all is set for another relaxing and enjoyable Sunday. The list of those I am currently expecting is below. There will be a good mix of cars, including a 22B, 2 P1s, an RB5, a Terzo, a variety of UK Turbos and a smattering of elises as well.

The plan is to enjoy a three-course barbecue lunch on the Shores of Loch Lomond, (at "Breakers Bar" at the Cameron House Hotel marina) from around 11.30 am, head north to Kenmore for around 4pm, where we will go for a 15min spin up Loch Tay in a speedboat, or a longer and more sedate 45min cruise up the Loch instead.

The menu is similar to last year's. The SIDC will be subsidising this once again it costs £15 per head _before_ the subsidy, so it will be less than that! Vegetarian options will be available...

As advertised previously, the boat trips on Loch Tay will cost £10, thanks to a generous subsidy courtesy of Bob Nottger from King & Sons, the Subaru dealer in Aberfeldy.

So - in total your day will cost no more than £25 per head http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

If you wish to attend then please drop me an email at cameron@leask.org

See you on Sunday

I would love to be there, as last year was an excellent day out, unfortunately I'll be earning some SUL tokens.
Although my new toy would probably raise a few eyebrows as I have defected to the opposite side. I'm picking up my Evo 6 tomorrow. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Enjoy what will almost certainly be a magic day yet again. I'll interlope at a latter date http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

John,

you would still be more than welcome as ever. We did have an EVO 6 there last year, which held a few of us up due to it having a flat battery http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Hope we'll see you again soon at one of our forthcoming events.

Hi John,

Yes I remember it as it was my car that was used to jump it.

I hope it was not an Omen http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

I hopefully should still make a few events. Not really looking forward to the stick though.

Take it easy...John
