6x9's

Hi, just wandering whether anyone would be able to explain how to fit 6x9's in a classic. I took out the back seats, but still couldn't get the backboard out. Do I need to remove the side pillars? If so how do you do this?

Thanks allot.

Do you really need to remove the whole self just to remove the plates?
Surely you can get to then without all this hassle? No?

I did............a bit fiddly, but they came out. The oval holes were a little small for my chosen speakers, so I made some MDF spacers, and covered 'em with carpet to match the rear shelf. Much easier.

i dont mean to be a pain but i put 6inch speaker all around and because of the back window curving over it makes the rear sound louder and i would advise not getting bigger speakers in the back than the ones in the front.

saying that the problem is easily overcome by moving the fade on the head unit more to the front than the rear.

all the best,
GAZ
