1996 Sti Version 3 help needed please!

Hi guys, I would be grateful of some help please. I'm just about to order some Motul 300v 15-50 oil from www.camskill.co.uk so thought I may as well get the filter and brake pads from there as well. two questions;

1. Will the oil filter and sump washer they have on their site be the right one for my car? it doesn't say on the website.

2. Which part no. EBC Greenstuff pads do I need? Part no. DP2966 or DP21134? Both of these part numbers are listed for a 1996 impreza.

Thanks in advance. :notworthy

15/50 oil perfect for STi. Oil filter and sump plug same for all imprezas, legacys and forresters so be fine. Would strongly recommend against greenstuuf and get redstuff ceramic.

Thanks a lot for your help and advice. Would you know which part no. for the redstuff pads for my model impreza? also I have been looking online at oils at there are some good offers on Silkolene pro s and pro r oils at the moment but un sure whether to go for the 's' or 'r'? Thanks again.:)

Have you the 4 pot calipers on your car??? Black one with subaru wrote on them?

sti007 16 January 2006 07:31 PM

Its the 4 pots but they are red with white subaru on them.

Don't mind looking up for 1996 imprezas as youl'll get no where when having an STi??? Front pads you want are DP31200C. Are your rears 2 pots?? Black with subaru also wrote on them or just like plain normal car caliper?????

LegacySTi 16 January 2006 07:56 PM

The part number you have above for front pad is for the 2 pot caliper.

The ones of the back appear to be normal. I'll do a search for the DP31200c. Thanks alot for taking the time to reply mate, I appreciate it. :notworthy Having some work done on the car Friday and need to order all the bits. Won't the redstuff pads eat my disks more quickly than the greenstuff pads though?

No be fine. Having the 4pots your best off just asking for front pads for 01-04 WRX. Makes life easier. Rear ones you want so are DP 3821C
