Common question but different opinions
Rocker cover gaskets leaking. Ive been reading some posts on oil leaks, ive heard replace gaskets, replace parts of gaskets, use your old gaskets and just apply some more sealer...and to top it off just clean up the rocker cover then apply sealer to the cover without dismantling.:Suspiciou
1) How can you tell what parts are needed, what does a bad gasket look like. 2) Do all the weird options really work. 3) How tight do you do the bolts and coil packs ...torque settings (94 wrx) 4) Whats the order of bolt tightening. 5) Which sealer Just a guy asking some simple question for simple answers trying to save a few quid and doing the job correctly. Rocker bolts 3.6 ft lb......anyone know what the coil pack torque settings are for 94 wrx? Anyone know if theres a sequence when putting the bolts back? Tools required ?
Thanks :) |
The whole set for both sides was about £60 form AS Performance.
Coil pack setting isn't a lot, just nip it up once tight. Nice and technical, eh? :D Most use silicone sealer even wih new gaskets. |
Cheers jay....so is that £60 delivered ? whats the sequence or isnt there one. :D
