how secure is my account details if it was out in the open.

ie if i gave out my acc number. sort code.

could anyone withdraw money out if they went to the bank?

those details are on every cheque you give out......hardly takes the CIA to unconver those details!

(if someone know my house number and email address can they move into my spare room?)

Its don't difficult, if they fake ID they could take money out over the counter.

The other things they can do is

Make a fake card
setup a direct debit.
