Made one up myself with a manual switch in the car and also a boost activated one for the auto function, works fine although I usually leave the fuse out of the auto switch or it drains my washer bottle in no time! ;)

I fitted one of these, works well with a 10lt tank in the boot.

How did you make it Boost activated?

Pressure switch off one of the manifold lines

Very good website, given me some idea's. like the way the whole intercooler will get water from the pipes.

Yep, ran a pressure activated switch off the same line my boost gauge is spliced in to. Has an adjuster on the top to trim to go off at desired boost level. I also wired in an LED light on the dash to show when it's going off. Can overrided with the manual switch when needed..

You mean the pressure feed to the switch? I took a T off the tube coming down from the dumpvalve, about 3" down, I did this to fit a boost gauge and T'd off again to the vacuum switch..

T off the dump valve
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../pipetocut.jpg Switch is down here in front of battery, screw on top is the adjuster, the pump for the I/C spray you can just see in the washer bottle http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...oostswitch.jpg |
I used what looks to be the same pressure switch as shown above.
but here's my DIY info : http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...ht=intercooler I've also got a couple of better switches now that cost me about 79p from Farnell.co.uk. |
^ nice one, I wouldn't recommend the one I used, it's not of the highest quality ;)
