My Name Is Earl

How funny is this!!!

For those that missed first one:

Guy wins $100,000 on the lottery then gets run over and loses the card whilst celebrating! Whilst hes in hospital his wife leaves him and kicks him out, he then sees a programme about practicing good karma. From that day on thats his new philosophy on life.

He makes a list of all the bad things hes done, one of them being littering. He picks up some rubbish and his scratch card comes back - because of the karma. Then apologises to someone he bullied at school and vows to get him laid, even if he is gay!

Each week he puts one of his wrongs on his list right.

Channel 4 10pm for those not in the know :)

:D

I like it, the first episode shows real promise.

Was going to post up about this the other day, as I saw trailers for it when I was back over xmas.

Have to admit to being a fan of Jason Lee, he's rather good as Banky in Chasing Amy, and I cannot see anyone else playing Earl as well as he does.

The show just gets better and better. NBC has moved it to it's prime time thursday night slot after it getting excellent ratings, so that says something for it.

There's a few Kevin Smith references in there (QuickStop is the store that Earl robs) plus there are also Burt Reynolds references as well.

Excellent first episode:

"You can run, but you can't hide - I know where your momma parks your house!"

LMFAO! :D

Saw the repeat of it after Lost on Wednesday night, Brilliant. Really enjoyed it. Made me laugh when they was being homophobic.

Fuzz 13 January 2006 07:18 PM

It was on in the background after Lost on Wednesday, wish I'd paid more attention now.
All I saw was him stealing summat out of a car and then getting mown down and watching the card drift off in the wind as he passed out. :lol1:

Very funny - already hooked, as are a couple of guys at work. Gone straight onto the Sky+ planner. :)

LG John 14 January 2006 01:08 PM

"One of the guys from our prayer group turned up tonight speaking in tongues but then we realised he was just back on the gear"

ROTFLMAO :D:D:lol:

P1Fanatic 14 January 2006 08:38 PM

I watched it for the first time last night. Well funny his brother at the car boot sale place asking the guy with the voice machine to say "luke I am your father" quality.

Simon.
