Hello, please feel free to post something because it awfully boring for me here on my own.

David L 01 October 2000 06:06 PM

Kevin,
I know there seems to be very few scooby drivers from Ireland on scoobynet. How about exchanging info. Like I just got a very good quote for insurance from Quinn Direct (cavan+dublin) for a wrx.

I am 26 year old. Full No Claims Bonus. I got a quote for £978 for a 1996 WRX in Northern Ireland. That was from Quinn Direct.
I paid £1600 last year from Priviledge (yet to get a quote for this year)
Cshan99 did you get the quote from Quinn??

John,

That quote sounds excellent. Just a few questions, How old are you, How many years have you a full licence, and where did you get your insurance from. Have you a Phone No.

I am thinking of selling my Impreza 2.0RX for a 97 STI. Was yours a Jap 280BPH or Irish Spec or did they even ask this when you were getting your quote ?

Any Info would be great ...

Cheers,

Colin

no they didn't ask, just told them it was a 2lt soloon awd turbo and got the quote.
and i must say that p.m.p.a are beening very helpful with this clam i'm having to fight.

colin what dell are you working in?

Team Subaru 02 November 2000 11:05 AM

John,

Thanks for the info on the Insurance, did you get your quote in Limerick ?. Is the Silver Legacy in EMF3 yours, I remember seeing it over there. nice machine. What are they going for these days ? There was a lovely grey one for sale at the motorshow in Waterford recently, very well done out. Are they Juicy, My RX is around 260/270 for £33 quid, thats at its best. 210 at worst. Hopefully Pertol won't go up any more. I was over in EMF3 all along but recently moved out to EMF2. Did they ask you if it was an Irish or a Japanese ?, I know some companys in the North that won't quote you over the difference in BPH of the jap/eur cars.

colin

yes i got the quote in limerick, no they didn't ask about irish/jap.
i'm getting about 100-110 miles for a £10
can drop to 70 in town.
i think i know your car you used to park at right side of EMF3 "very tasty" the new 17"wheels look great. havn't seen the quads yet they must have been recent add on's

Thats excellent for a Turbo Model, my is just the standard Non turbo 2.0, and it seems to drink it. I know the Impreza Turbo is not the best for the Pertol, my bub is getting 20MPG, in his driving it harder it worse again. Are all the Legacys that good ?.
I know on the straights its a lot better, the traffic in the morning out in castletroy is the pits.
