Weird Shudder / Vibration on my WRX
 

hi can anybody help!!! i purchased an imported wrx n reg from a local car sales about five months ago the car has been running great apart from the rear strut thud and the shudder while pulling off its a pleasure to drive, after one month of owning the car i hit a huge pot hole needless to say my wheel was buckled i couldn't buy a new wheel (discontinued) so i found a place to have the wheel repaired at a small cost great! also had tracking done at a specialist, but recently I'm getting an awful strong vibration just driving normal fifth gear its so strong that everything is shaking i feel so frustrated and powerless not knowing who to turn to for help i cant stand driving my car now, has anybody had any experience like mine and where to take my scooby for repairs that arent so expensive but good service

When you say the wheel was repaired how? If it has hit a pot hole and is now not round im not sure what they did to fix it?

I had the same kind of issue and even though the wheel was only 5mm out of roundness the feeling at about 80mph was not nice.

It may also have knocked your wheel out of alignment. I would suggest you have your 4-wheel geometry checked.

I would start with the wheel though if I was you.

hi, have you not got the year warrenty? if so take it back,if you just bought it with the standard 3 month deal unlucky.
the rear strut thud i thought was only on newage cars? and the shudder from pulling away is a cold clutch? does it do it when warmed up? if so might be a good idea to get it looked at (dont know an awful lot about clutches!) if you hit a pot hole big enough to buckle the wheel i`d imagine the driveshafts or steering arms are bent somehow were these checked out?
