The Llandow track day has now been cancelled due to a lack of interest. It is a great shame and may have been Wales's last chance of its own track day.

Shame, although I couldnt have made it its still sad to think theres not enough interest in this part of the world. People from over the water still seem to think were a world away when really its just so easy to get to somewhere like Llandow. Anyway whens the next get together.

I think Llandow fails to attract a number of owners due to its nature of being a small track lacking sufficient length in comparison to its relative tracks of Pembrey and Castle Coombe.
I still believe if a track day was pursued at Pembrey it would be a success. Attending caterham 750 meets and other track events at Pembrey I have found all have been a success, thus is no reason to believe that this success cannot be matched by SIDC. If there were leaflet mails to sidc members and a mention in 'TRUE GRIP' i am sure there would much support, overcoming the failings of the last pursued meet at the track which was confined to internet publicity only. ps. HOW ABOUT ANOTHER BRECON RUN THIS SUMMER following last years route, it was well attended and everyone seemed to enjoy themseles? Highlighting a certain person especially, "Mad BOB". |
I couldn't have made it as I'm getting married.
The Bridge is a big psychological barrier to people in England. They don't mind paying £4.20 in fuel to travel a longer distance but they object to paying to cross the bridge. |
