During the recent petrol shortages, I was forced to use normal unleaded + Millers Octane+ instead of Super Unleaded, in my STi.

It's just an opinion, but the car felt better than when running on the SUL. Millers claim a gain of up to 2 RON, but it was more resposnive and smoother running.

With 95RON at 79.9 and 97RON at 87.9, it makes financial sense to use octane booster in 95RON too.

Anybody care to comment?

Hi Dave,
I too used u/l during the crisis and millers, to be honest with you it was cheaper to shove sul in there than millers + u/l. 3 quid a bottle of millers or an extra 4p per litre at 60ltrs = 2.40?? give me sul anytime plus millers!!!!
Have fun! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Round here millers is not available only stuff readily available is £5.99 a bottle with the difference between an UL and an SUL fill £3.60 the sums don't work and I have never noticed a difference between SUL and UL plus OB

Steve

Some of the better known Scooby suppliers will supply Millers mail order.
Works out around £30 for 10 bottles including carriage.
I agree with Tony SUL + Millers every time, £3 a tank for peace of mind. (yes I can feel the difference)
