Mark,

How comes the Wales Forum is not very active?

Where are all of you gone?

Actually how many welsh scoobies are registered on scoobynet?

Hope to hear from you lot soon.

Mark, Been in Swansea quite a bit lately and have noticed bloody cameras everywhere.
Logix, I too have noticed it's been a bit quite on here lately, even regulars like Dave W haven't been around. Anyway are we going to have a get together soon. I'll start the ball rolling myself. How about sometime late March ,early April. Usual thing , meet in pub ,chat , drive etc. Maybe start earlier than usual on a Sunday and make our way to Mid wales or something like that. Any ideas ,dates welcome.

Cheers

Chip.

MARK MORRIS 04 March 2001 01:11 PM

hi chip

DAVE-W 05 March 2001 08:00 PM

Chip,

I have been here.....in stealth mode mate http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif keeping an eye on all you hooligans http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

As for unmarked cars, radar etc. there must be a campaign in the area at the moment.

My colleague in work got gunned last week (still waiting for his envelope to pop through the letterbox http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif )

My boss got lasered last week and then pursued by unmarked vectra (dark metallic green), another 3 points and sixty pound fine (quite lucky in my opinion as he was had doing 95 in a 60 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif ).

I've come across three radar / laser traps in the last two weeks.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.......LOL.

As for a meet....YES.....this time lets ALL get together and make it another good one. Mid Wales sounds very good to me (also a meet been organised for April 29th by various readers of EVO magazine for the mid wales area-I'll keep you all posted).

Getting together for that pint needs to be sorted soon too Chip.....we'll have to sort something out though as we all live fairly far apart (getting home after I've had one or two...or maybe more http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif ).

Cya all soon,

David

Well being from Kidderminster in Worcstershire I am not far away from the good old Welsh border. If anything was happening near in Wales I would be up for it. Perhaps the camp in Walse might spark some interest?

Chris-WRX 07 March 2001 12:57 AM

Beware, White Volvo v70 unmarked a470...look out its about!

I had mine dome at KP's £117 for my 7500m service - seems alot for oil and washer fluid!

The amazing Proton 1.5 gs loan car was the icing on the cake.

ian-a 08 March 2001 12:28 PM

Has anyone tried Keith Price Garages for services, My 7500mi is up soon and have heard mixed reports. Any info would be much appreciated,

Cheers (B)

Chip 08 March 2001 05:15 PM

Have used KP in the past and will never use them again. Ever. Even had to take legal advice. Wont go into details here but email me if you want more info.
Chip.

phd 08 March 2001 07:13 PM

Where do you all go for servicing then? CVC?
I don't fancy a Proton for the day.

Pete

Chip 08 March 2001 09:15 PM

Had mine serviced at CVC yesterday. No problems.
Why the Proton?

Chip

sammyh 08 March 2001 09:58 PM

They were a bit short on loan cars - so they said. It took me about 5 mins to stop laughing when I drove it!

ian-a 08 March 2001 11:01 PM

Chip,

I'm curious, so I've e-mailed you

cheers

Hi!Quite pleased to Hear from you lot again.

Well I suppose the Proton is better than the Justy, but then at least you get all wheel drive!!

The service cost me £102
Had check engine light come on so asked them to sort it out.
I had the lambda senor changed under warranty
Quite pleased with their overall service.

Had my door repair in CVC few weeks ago done an excellent job.I asked them to spray my horrid orange wedge under the the front indicators aswell which they did for free.

Ask for Jamie (bodyshop manager)he's the best, his brother Jason (sales manager)is a bit snobby I find. Its a family run business

I'm going back soon to CVC to have my side moulding done next week.

Interested in the meet might see you lot soon

Ben H 09 March 2001 01:04 AM

sam you said you love the loan car and you wanted one lol, getting one for the wife you said

Chip 09 March 2001 05:13 PM

ian-a, Had no mail from you.

As for this loan car. Do they still charge 15 quid for the day.

Chip

sammyh 09 March 2001 09:17 PM

That might be why the service was £117 copared with CVC's £102.

DAVE-W 10 March 2001 10:06 AM

Had my first 6 months service done by DJR motors in Carmarthen, ex Subaru dealer, now prepare rally cars etc. Full check, oil, filter etc. was around £95.

Definately seemed to know their stuff too.

Sorry if I haven't been "moderating" http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif for the last few days.....had a MAJOR crash on my computer and spent the last couple of evenings sorting it out http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

Cya all soon

David

Chip 10 March 2001 11:02 AM

Sammy, Yeah probably. I wont pay it out of principle.I'd rather walk or bus into town.

Just had 24month service at CVC . Cost me £450. Yeah £450. Disgusting.

Chip.
