Brembo front brakes

I bought a pair of brembo STI8 front brakes and was told they would fit on my 1994 wrx:mad:
First attempt the pcd was different on the disc as the brembo disc is 114 and the WRX is 100 so went to Godspeed and had the discs drilled out
Second attempt today disc on great then put caliper on and the d**n thread on the bolts are different:mad:
Has anyone come across this before and if so what bolts do I need that is 12mm by what thread 1.25 or 1.5 and also I put the old brakes back on before measureing what length these bolts should be:brickwall
Any help will be very much appreciated
Thanks:)

I am guessing here, but the thread could be metric fine @ 12mm dia.
Take the old bolt to a GOOD merchants, ie Hughs and Holmes or contact a local fastener company to get the right part/size/thread.

There are several others who might be able to help you. Alyn at AS Performance is an ace guy, does lots of rally cars etc and knows his stuff.
His number is:

Very helpful character.

Sorry to hear about your problems. :(

It's not much help, except for letting you know why, but you probably got the brakes from a 2005+ STi. In 2005 there where a LOT of suspension changes, including the pcd going from 100 to 114. I suspect you would not have had any problems, and it would have been plug'n'play, had it been any Brembo setup from V7 Sti to 2004 V8 STi.

I just posted this as a warning for others, that with the introduction of the 2005 changes, you really need to be sure the parts being bought for conversions from a 2005 (from clusters to suspension parts) can easily be transplanted.
