Gauge pod fitting

Moderators: Apologies if in wrong section, just may get a decent response here.

Hi I've got a 3 gauge A-pillar pod to fit, but don't know what to use to bond it to the factory A-pillar. It's (gauge pod) made from fibreglass and I don't really know much about adhesives.

Cheers for any help that may be forthcoming, I'll have a pint for ya.

Off out for some new years eve cheer <get rat arsed>

All the best

most gauge pods (a pillar) come with ,in the box, double sided tape, usually of the velcro type. so most ppl tend to stick the velcro strips inside the pod and to the a pillar and then bond them together. the velcro allows you to do small re-postitions. you can get the stuff from most diy stores, even halfords sells the stuff in the glue/bonding section.
one guy on here made it more secure by screwing in a small self tapping screw at the base. (cant remember his name)
i am doing mine in the new year :D
it all depends on the fit. if it fits snugly without pressure, the velcro will do the trick and will not mess up your a pillar. if not, more extreme measures may be needed.

Happy New year :luxhello:

(please send my pint via recorded delivery..you know the royal mail..they will drink it :D )

Cheers tony,

It, the gauge pod, came with velcro, but, I don't think that it'll be up to the job, so really I need to know what bonds fibreglass to plastic.

BTTT can anyone suggest something to bond fibreglass to plastic? Not bothered that'll be permanent, once my gauges are wired up n working that's where they will be staying. If they fcuk up, just get another a-pillar and pod.
