Best springs for a Classic STI?

Right, looking at possibly buying some springs for my version 5 STI Type RA, as it seems a little figity and looks a tad high.

Whats recommended? all feedback from everyone would be good, heard a few things about Einbach, but not all good....and not heard much about other makes.

Are there anywhere that you can buy springs with different spring rates, other than getting custom ones made?

More going towards just springs, as I am afriad that if I go coilover route I may loose some daily drivabiliy. Oh yeh, the car will be used for fast road, and some track days.

Cheers

I also own a version 5 sti ra,and ended up with the AST coilovers fitted at powerstation.

Was a bit dubious after having Jic coilovers, and them being so hard, but there was no need to worry.......go on....you wont be dissapointed.

After having the powerstation treatment the car was totally transformed.

Hmmm interesting!

Only issue is cost.....what sort of cash are the coilovers?

Cheers for the input!

the P1 setup is very good

Apologies for the silly question, but what is the P1 setup ?

I've heard lots of praise for it, and was thinking of altering the suspension on my '99.

Is it different springs and/or shocks ?

I think Bighead refers to the whole mechanics of the P1, struts/springs/bars etc etc.
The Sti V5/V6 are close (same?) too.
Don't forget the 17'' rims.

The alignment of it all is where you really can score. Go to some one who really knows, such as Power Station.
I did and ...just so good.
:D

Graham.
