**Caution for all Scoob Owners in the Pontefract Area**

Just thought i would make you all aware, last night we had our house broken into while we were in bed, i heard the theiving scum bags as they opened an internal door in the house (very squeaky!) as i got up, they scarpered. They took nothing and were clearly looking for something! they opened every drawer in the kitchen and it was soon clear they were after the keys to my scoob!. Fortunatley i had them with me so they left empty handed!!!.

A chap a few roads down from me has also had the same happen to him but unfortunally they managed to get his keys and took his 6month old scoob!!!!

The police told me it is now the most popular form of car crime, he reckoned it would have taken them 30 seconds to break into my house which is a hell of alot quicker and easiar than trying to break into the car and start it etc!.

So all ponte scoob owners please beware and exercise extra caution in securing your home and your car this christmas and dont leave your keys lying around. And lets try and deter and/or stop these theiving scum b*stards!!!.:Suspiciou

If I may recommend CLICKY, scroll down to Blackjax :thumb: Even if they threaten you and acquire the keys, they can start the car and drive it away, but a short time later it will cut out and they will not be able to start it again.

A big dog works too, although if the attack happens when the dog isn't with you it won't.

 getting rather common this now... glad all was well in the end tho.......

Glad you and the scooby are ok.

Try not to let it ruin your xmas!

All the best,

Little c*nts.

We had on the local news last week in Darlington, that a couple of arseholes knicked a car and went speeding through the town at 4am. Luckily at that time there's not much/someone to hit, apart that is the traffic island they smashed into. The good thing was though the little f*ckers died. Painfully I hope. :hjtwofing :hjtwofing

Some good news for a change:D :thumb:

That's a bit harsh. Somebody would have loved the thieving scumbag. I think they should all get one chance but when that chance is used up, remove the turds from society permanently. Bullet, injection, rope, guillotene, whatever is cheapest.
Glad they did not get your car. time to start taking the keys to bed and immobilising the vehicle.
Good reason for only feeding my dog in the morning.

Good reason to leave them DOWNSTAIRS IMO, unless you are a cyborg programmed with ultimate fighting skills, whereby you can awaken, rub eyes, batter balaclava wearing bat weilding thugs, save your car and go back to sleep within 2 minutes...
Or perhaps it would also be OK if you are a turtle named after an artist and had a friend called April O Neil...
:)
I have blackjaxx and leave my keys downstairs ever night and sleep without a care in the world...But maybe thats because I am a turtle

Tripple'O G 23 December 2005 01:57 PM

I have a blackjax.........but they are too easy to "trick"

4x4chris 23 December 2005 06:00 PM

how so?

we all would like to know that when we go to sleep, our cars, ourselves and our families are safe and sound.

But, theres a risk as with everything that it will get stolen. its a sad fact of life.
Thankfully its not happening to much in the north east, but still, my keys are at the front door, and they will remain there. As much as i would like to think i would tackle a wouldbe thief, been woken up with a bat above my head or worse, i dont think i could. Or worse still, another member of family being threatened.

My car is worth alot to me, but there are far more important things to think of first, personal saftey being but one.

Lets face it, if you have it and someone wants to steal it, there isnt a thing you can do to stop it far short of selling it.

I've had them trying to get in 3 times!!

I now have a house like Fort Knox.

Sad thing is I have 3 shotguns in the house, but as stated before what good are they when I'm asleep with 3 ****cakes armed with bats around my bed??

supertouring 23 December 2005 09:02 PM

Sorry to hear about the break-in.

My suggestion would be more visibile security - a gatepost on the drive and/or fit a disklock every night. This hopefully deters potential thiefs from even bothering to enter the house. Blackjaxx only works after they have got the keys.

Stainy 24 December 2005 11:19 AM

99% of the '****bags' are soft fookers who do not want a confrontation. Take the fookin keys upstairs ffs, don't make life easier for the lazy benefit scrounging druggie tw&ts! :brickwall

If you're unlucky enough to get the 1%, hand em over when they pop their heads around your bedroom door :D

stilover 24 December 2005 12:25 PM

Best to leave your keys downstairs.

I remember when I bought a Focus RS, and went on the Ford Forums. There was one bloke who was woken up while in bed with his wife by his side, kids in the next room with a knife to his throat with the demand "give us ya F*cking keys or we'll slash ya throat".
Leave them downstair for the arseholes to get them then leave. You can replace a car, much harder to replace your life, or serious injury.

Me & my big mouth - the KUNTS tried again last night!!!

dazzaTypeR 24 December 2005 02:38 PM

I simply keep my alarm fob seperate from keys (only cos it broke) by the time they've gone and got in the car and realised there's no fob me and the dog would be breaking baseball bat's over there scum theiving backs, and most of my best mates live next door so I'd have to let them have a piece aswell.

Dogs your best bet, mine's so protective of me and being wiemeraner they can be very very loyal to one person, he'll let me know if the cats come in past her curfew so i'd hopefully know as soon as he does.

Mind you the way the 2nd market is at the mo I'd have to consider handing over the fob aswell.

i believe blackjax voids insurance- purpose being thatcham dont approve and most insurance companies do not approve of somethings shutting the car off whilst it moves- could cause accident and all that-
the reason they can his this is its a "feature" than can be turned off-

could be wrong but....
