Recently went to G-Force for a power run came back with some peculiar results!!:confused:

On 1.5bar setting via PFC boost reach a max of 1.4bar@4600rpm then rapidly tailed off to 1.25bar which is were i achieved the highest bhp figure of 327bhp


So theoretically i produced 327bhp@6800rpm running 1.25bar(but on 1.5bar setting PFC):confused:

Conclusion is if i reached max boost(1.5bar)then surely i would gain some more horses and torque?

Question is whats causing it:Any ideas ?

Mods are:

Sti type r
Decat(lagged downpipe)
air filter(with cold air feed)
tdo5 18g turbo
uprated hyperflow tmic(with splitter and sti8 scoop)
550cc injectors
PFC mapped to 1.5bar

Its normal to hit less boost on the rolling road, due to.. air flow,temp,load etc.
Reguardless of what your boost is set to.

My car runs around 1.5bar on the road and I got 1.3 tailing off to 1.2 on the dyno.

Your car will be making more power on the road due to the higher boost.

I personally wouldn't want to be running 1.5 bar on a rolling road with a TMIC. Having had the bitter experience of my own car run right up to the edge of its level of tune, then blowing up on a rolling road, which wouldn't have happened in normal driving, I'd say be happy with what you've got. If you're not hitting the full 1.5 bar on the rollers, there's a reason for that. Don't ask why, it's just not to be. Something like a high charge temp will lose you boost straight off the bat, and let's be honest if there's anywhere your car will overheat, it's on a rolling road. I've actually had my turbo catch fire on rollers before because of insufficient airflow. That was a different occasion btw!

If you're clocking 327@1.25 bar, and then on the road you're hitting 1.5 bar then there's no problems. If you see the same response on the road as on the rollers, then you need to look at it further.

What i hav noticed wen drving on the rd is my 1.3bar setting feels as strong as 1.5bar setting:wonder:
