Both cars if treated right should be equally reliable !!! Although the Sti should take more abuse in theory due to the Uprated Internals Etc.

What is the main cause of failure.
Fueling , to lean !!
Too much Boost !! (back to above)
Prolonged High speed !!
Detonation (Lean & Boost again)
Incorrect fuel grade (Detonation)
Driver is a Knob !!! (see all above)

The above comments kind of take the Edge off enjoying your car, they shouldn't but in the back of your Mind you become paranoid !!
Im sure i was not like this with my Mk2 Ford Mexico :D :D Oh , & i was always alot more sideways this weather :D :thumb:
