iridium plugs
 
just seen a set of ngk iridium plug on ebay for £26, is this a hotter or colder plug and do i add these if i am upping boost. sorry for :iamwithst qstns - i am still learnig

Stick with NGK PFR7B. I have not had them fall apart. I have suffered a broken insulator that took out a cylinder head with HKS Iridium and know of others with similar failures around the same time.

thats shocking:cry: , i take it the insulater is the piece around the base of plug in cylinder. thanks for warning mate:notworthy i think i will stick to pfr6or7s

Yes heard this before. Stick with the 7B's if running above 280bhp.

Didn't Jap mags 'project 200sx' have a HKS spark plug fall apart and stuff the engine last month?

STI offers as uprated the NGK BKR7EIX plugs but many people rate the platinums above iridiums regarding reliability.
