radiator cap came off is my engine damaged
 

can any one give me some advise today on my way home from work a 20 mile trip and my radiator cap came off some how and i could of driven the whole way with it off and didnt notice till i got home,anyway the header tank had boild dry pretty much but the engine temp had not gone up at all from normal.

what i want and need to know is would this have damaged my engine and or turbo at all please can anyone tell me before i drive my car again and cause any possible further damage.

ps: i have replaced the radiator cap now :thumb:

How much water/antifreeze went back in to top it up???
Good chance there is no damage as long as there was still some water in the system.
any damage will be immediately obvious when you set out on your next 20 mile journey.

I doubt anything to worry about here!!!

it topped up about 1/4 of a litre of antifreeze/water it wat not quite empty the header tank but almost

Its fine. Nothing to worry about at all.
