up pipe ?
 

i have been offered a up pipe of unknown make for my 95 wrx whitch allready has a full scoobysport right from the turbo ... i dont really know much about up pipes and there benifits so do they make any diffrence and why? i have had a look at it and there is restrictions in the pipe attol is this diffrent to my standard one ?

AFAIK classics don't have a cat in the up pipe like the new age WRX does, so not sure that there is any benefit in fitting an after market one.. sure someone more up on classics will be along in a mo..

from what I've seen, the thing with the normal uppipe is how much of a mess it is inside the pipe - lots of places for turbulence etc etc. An aftermarket one should really be a lot smoother inside for the air / gas etc to flow better.

I've just got a freer flowing one for mine afteer seeing how constricted the airflow is on the std one. I've also got a Janspeed decat downpipe and straight through centre section for my 98 Sti V.

My garage had a std and aftermarket one for me to compare at the time. As for results - I'll leave that to a more technical person....
