MY03 WRX Seat Belt Warning Sound

Dear all,

I reset my MY03 WRX ECU the other day to clear a CEL due to my decat downpipe the other day. I have a dumb-ass question ... I went 100 meters down the road with out :-o my seat belt on and the car beeped a warning signal at me as well as flashing the 'belt symbol on the dash.

Is this sound normal as I'm sure it didn't do that before the ECU reset? Happy to be stupid on this one!

I know for a fact my MY00 didn't do that.

Yep it is normal, my MY03 would do your head in if you dont belt up, it just bleeps on and on...... :)
