FMIC Advice Needed ?

Hey scoobynetters

After having my car stolen/recovered and bumped this week i have chosen to repair myself (this basically works out cheaper than claiming through insurers !!). I have sustained reasonably bumper and grille damage so therefore me thinks what a good excuse to add FMIC as the car is already in bits and has decat induction done already.
I want to know what i am i likely to gain by doing this in the way of noise and performance as the insurance co will need to know .
Any help or advice welcome.

You can tell the insurance company that there are no gains to be had.

Noise is a factor of air flow both in and out of your engine. Presuming you run with the same boost you will experience no increase in noise and the lower intake temperature, due to the greater efficiency of a front mounted intercooler, means the temperature within the combustion chamber will be lower which will lower the potential for detonation.
