oil pressure warning light.

Hi guys/gals
I am new to impeza owner ship and have recently got myself a 2002 st1.i work away alot and have not used the car for over two weeks. This moring however on starting the car for the first time after being away the warning light went out but still seemed to be glowing slightly on.The outside temp was just above freezing,The light went out completley after a few minutes.
Is this the norm or something that should be checcked out ASAP.
any advice welcome:wonder:

Strange?

That light is a simple ON/OFF light ...... the battery light is the one that can glow slightly - were you looking at the right light?

I wouldn't worry about it ....... unless it comes on while driving of course!!

Thanks for the reply Pete.I could not understand it either but it was definetly the oil indicator.I was curious if this was a quirk of the impreza as i have never seen this in any other motor I have had.
See what happens tommorow when i fire her up.

Just replace it, It will more than likely be faulty, You could clean the terminal , Anyhow at about £5 from your local Motor Factors not worth p1ssing about.
