STI intercooler onto classic?
 

Got the chance of a second hand sti top mount, its has been fitted to a MY00 classic but mine is a MY96 uk car, just wondering if it would fit, the only difference I can see is there might be a prob with the dump valve plumbing?

So is it the V7/V8 STi intercooler you have and wanna see if it fits to a 96 car. That been with inlet manifold 93-96 type which coils are NOT on top YES??? And dump valve to left??

yes,dump valve left and coils hidden down the side.its an STI8 cooler.

Planning doing this if possible on my my95. As i far as i know you block dump valve location of with blanker plate and sort out existing pipework. And have to make up custom brackets to fit. Would also really like answers and pictures to this!!!

On a MY95, I doubt there is space for a new style intercooler. A V5 intercooler just fits :-

I'll assume your after Lindsay's (Johnny 50) TMIC. All the bits are there to fit it to a Classic but due to the ISCV location you need a modified Blanking plate to fit over where the OE STi8 D/V is.

How do I know about Johnny's TMIC............................I FITTED IT!
