Saddams trial ffs

Its more like a circus than a trial,

ffs given that both he and his other compadre openly stated in court why dont you just kill us, makes me ask the question why dont we??

unless we are heading for squadrons of flying pigs, blue moons, and hell freezing over, its not to hard to work out he,s going to get a guilty verdict.

lests face it, any verdict will be contested and argued over.

they dont have a pc agreement over threre, why dont they just take him out the back and bobs your!!

(spelling alert)

chauchescu ?? & his mrs were just popped in the courtyard, saved any trial or media circus.

what are we/they hoping to achieve? sadman openly repenting on cam?

we / they should end it now.

lest face it if one of chobbams finest had done the job allready there would be bugger all to worry about.

I suspect the reason is for it act as the dawn of a new era, to let people know he really was that bad and he won't be coming back and to give some degree of acknowledgement to the families of those killed and tortured and give them closure.

richs2891 07 December 2005 01:44 PM

OK I do understand that, but when they pulled him out of the hole that he was hiding him and they "happened to find him dead", but proven beyond doubt that it was the body of Saddam, would not give closure to people and save the circus of his trial !

To kill him without trial would just make him a martyr to many Iraqis. With a trial, at least they can read and find out how and why he was guilty. Don't give him (or his 'legacy') and more credibility than it deserves.

ok adjourn for ten minutes,

come back in... guilty.. bang bang home in time for tea

Those actions wouldn't be justified in this country so I cant see why they should be in a country where we are trying to spread our idea of democracy, justice etc etc.

Simple: they want to make him suffer! ;) :D

And us too, through lots of crap TV!! :D Although if that was a charge that warranted the death sentence, people like Richard and Judy wouldnt be around :D

Now there's a thought....... ;) :D

lets do the math....

trial.. lawyers, media, witness.s people dying for defending him... cost .. millions..

bullet.. one soldier... over and done with cost 22p

Im sure its all to do with the new regime ( the americans) attempting to show themselves as the humanitarins we know theyre not.
Saddam would never have bothered with geneva convention ( for all we know neither does bush if the latest is anything to go by). ... therefore i vote him an his family should be tortured to death...:thumb:

shoting is just too kind.

If you don't do it legally and above board then you are dragging yourself down to his level.

i see your point but when did he do things legally and above board.

i dont think anyone is stooping to his level if it did happen.

as i said he could have been killed during the s&a campaign, then what would that have been wrong.

the guy has asked to be popped, lets grant him his wish,
