Keeping your White Scoop Shiney

I've never owned a white car before so the scoob is a firstm, however what do you use to give a gloss shine to the paintwork?.
I normally use autoglyms range of products and just ordered some Lifeshine, probaly no good but for 20 quid its worth a try.

I use Zymol products now. And they even smell better than Autoglym. Hmmmm Coconut and banana.......

I personally also think it takes less effort to use Zymol so it means you can still go round after with a cloth to collect the dust deposits left. It is also a lot less harsh than some other products.

I did my car around about a month ago and you can still see a slight shine even with all the dirt on it.

I use Autoglym on mine and find it to be very good indeed, especially for the price. A wash, a quick go over with a clay bar- if necessary, the super resin polish and then the gold wax produces a real showroom shine! I did try Meguires once and found the tech wax a bit hard to apply. I've heard good things about Zymol though.

Swissol wins all the product tests !
Have a look on their site !

White is surprisingly easy to keep clean ... I have had 3 white cars.

The very worst is my Scooby in DBM ... it is awful when you spend hours cleaning and polishing it, just to see it 2 hours later looking grubby!! :(

Red is a great colour for looking bright at all times.

The winner is Silver, of course, it can be covered in dust but it still looks shiny and well looked after.

Oh, yes, I use AutoGlym .......... tried many others in my time, I keep coming back.

I use Meguiars on mine - it does take a little more work than Autoglym for example, but persevere and the results are worthwhile. Mine is getting a pretty good mirror shine on it now. I use the NXT shampoo, a Water Magnet to dry it, occasionally a coat of Cleaner Wax, then the Tech Wax as well. Hot Rims is good for the wheels as well.

Swissol every time. I used it for the first time earlier this year. I took a full day at it, using the cleaner fluid first to remove all of the swirl marks (which were there from new!!!!) then waxing it up. It still cleans up really well with teh just the shampoo (Car Bath - expensive, but smells good and seems to work so I don't mind) some 8 months on.

I would be hungry all the time!

pmsl at ps lewis. Carnt smell like kebab unless u put chilly on it. Anybody who had seen my white scoob will know it was WHITE and not off white. Ure only supposed to put 2 or 3 TEASPOONS in the water , with ya soap. Not the entire contents of the Sarsons factory.

Ps Keep the winders shut 2 when ya wash it. On the plus side you may find the top suspension units under the bonnet are handy for dipping your chips in when in an emergency and no vinegar is about . lol

Be prepared for any emergency i was told. Wot u say uncle pete ??. Them were the days ehhhh .

land of Hope and glory etc etc. Bye gum

Always used autoglym on my 2 white ones and then moved onto meguirs 3 step system which i thought to be a bit better although took far longer. But in fairness it aint that bad to keep clean
