Hotel recommendations - Geneva Motor Show

Can anyone advise of the best places to find reasonable accomodation for a group of us (WYIOC's) visiting next years Geneva motor show in March ? Either the Swiss equivelent of cheapo B&B's or Travelodges would be ideal. We will be flying over with Jet2 and will be going directly to the show from the airport, then back to the accomodation prior to a night out in Geneva before flying back. We may extend it to flying in the day before and out the day after if the timeline is too tight (which it looks like it may be) so possibly a 2 night stay.

This idea is in its infancy, but not being a big traveller I would appreciate some advice quite quickly so as to ensure we get the flights early, hence cheaply :D

Thanks in advance :thumb:

I've stayed in the Ibis in Geneva. Walking distance from the station (which is a sub five minute, ~1 Euro train ride from the airport). Not hugely flash but very clean and tidy. The shower in the room we had was fab.

Drop a PM to STI-Frenchie as he's local (and often found in the Photography forum).

Got a quote for a Novotel next door to the airport for 280 Euro's

Frenchie drew up a list of Hotels in Geneva for some of us on the photoforum for another possible event over there.
Hope you don't mind me linking to this, Frenchie.
Have fun

But don't forget that most places in Geneva are still using Swiss Francs rather than Euros (taxi drivers, buses, pubs etc) so either take some of each (with the emphasis on Francs from experience) or use Debit/Credit Cards.

Have a good time!

The reason the Swiss use Swiss Francs and not Euros is because the Swiss Franc is the currency of Switzerland and not the Euro :) Some places will accept payment in Euros but you'll receive Swiss francs if there is change to be given.
