Help Required please

I have got a MY94 WRX (jdm) That recently suffered at the hands of an attempted theft, (you may have seen my thread in general)

The theifs smashed the windscreen out of pure spite because they could not get it started, Anyway to cut a long story short.

The windcsreen fitters cant fit the windscreen because it needs a new top moulding and new clips for side and top moulding.

I tried a local Subaru dealer who snubbed me because the cars an import,,

Please can any one point me in the right direction for these parts and or an Import Friendly delaership

Desperately need help as Screen fitter is still on stand by.

Thanks Mick

Im not exactly sure what parts you are referring to but the odds are that a uk car will have the same parts on them, just tell him its a uk car, i cant believe there are still dealerships giving hassle over imports in this day and age

Andy yeah it is true. The Subaru dealership in Leeds asked for the chassis number before they would commence with any type of query, Then completely refused to help or offer an alternative to supply the moulding and clips, once they established it was a JDM. just a little frustrating.

Owning and running a JDM has never been a problem to me (4th year now) as most things can be sourced from tuning and Subaru specialist, but in this case its the silly little things that tuners cant supply, and have forced me to try Uk franchise dealerships.

So get a mate with a uk model and use his chassis number?

I have the same problem with dealers as well. I believe they have a computer system that has diagrams of all the parts and the respective part numbers. When I had a sunny gtir if I needed main dealer parts they were kind enough to let me into the back to show them on this system what it was that was needed. I am sure I have read that subaru have the same system (albeit for subaru parts obviously!)

Andy if i had a mate with a UK model would be as easy as that, but well I have not, Thought it was worth putting a thread on here asking for Help!! or atleast advice (constructive)

A mate with a UK model classic is prety obvious!! but alas my friends and club members all have JDM's or newer versions

Thanks anyway.
