igratton/salsa-king ....

We discussed a Midlands meet at the Northern meet3 at the weekend, I was going to have look locally and see if any of my old haunts would be suitable for a scooby driver, the roads/lanes around Twycross and surrounding area's (North of A444) are good fun, long wide roman roads with nice bends etc, a few nice lunch spots as well with large car parks, there is even a lake/waterpark we could endup at. Might be worth it, just aint gonna compete on the scenery of the north Yorks moors ...

anyone in the nottingham area want to get together?

could all locals get a data base together of e-mail address's so we know who's in the area who r members?

Kev

Was down your way on Monday, yes there are some good roads but what about the old A453?
Also some good roads in the Notts - Loughboro' - Melton triangle?

It's about time we had a driving meet http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Count me in!

WALKER................

er....................

you've twisted my arm....go on then

I am taking my girlfriends son with me...

possibly a mate....

akira will want a go too...

and jase...

whats the betting I do 1 lap by myself (again) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Last time (if lost count of how many I've done now) I didn't even get the warm-up laps on my own. My friends girlfriend wanted to go round the track...but not a full chat...so she sat in on the slowly/easy does it/where are the corners/RobMac leading the way laps

Time could be tight...but I'll try

Hi all ...

Looks like I'm gonna arange something then http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif . I'll have a drive around this weekend along the old Ashby road and surrounding area to see if it's as good as it used to be, I know part of the road one of you mentioned is a haven for speed traps http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif of late so that might not be worth the risk. Leave it with me ( those imortal word I know http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif ) and I'll get a route sorted for deffo.

Paul, I'll have a look and will probably get you to give me a hand with the final choice http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Ian
Appreciate the time aspect and also the expense of putting your car on the track, if you get time that would be great, if not no sweat. I`ll have to pluck up the courage to have a go in my own car next time.

Kev
Look forward to it!

Myself and Kev have already started looking into a Midlands meet/drive following our experiances of the Nortern Meet3(excellent fun- where was you all?)
Kev has outlined a route yet to be reccied, but looking very promising, using some roads that TopGear use.
The route will probably be finalised this weekend and a date posted on this BBS soon.
Will be at Donno on Friday if any body wants to discuss it.

Paul

<tut>

Ok, I will sort something out..........

We are overdue a 'proper' meet, which will mean exercising the potential of the cars.

I already have a very good, bike test route in mind, I will have a chat with whoever wants to come on a recce of it to take pace notes.
Donington on Friday will be a perfect opportunity?
Before we can set an exact date, I need to check what shift Keith is on to make sure that he can't get http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Anybody with ideas other than the above, speak to me at Donington or drop me a line please.
