I use one of these; Id suggest wearing goggles if you use it inside a building...

Fire the car up while it's mid-chew - problem solved :thumb:

Neutral Cruiser 23 November 2005 09:29 PM

Find his entry point and block it off. Poison's cruel and so is hurting it. Maybe tease him out and then block him out.

You can get a cheap replacement at most pet shops - around a fiver - cheaper if you're lucky!

isn't teasing it cruel too? and while radio one are running their anti-bullying week

Mikkk 24 November 2005 12:46 PM

Borrow the neighbours cat and leave it in the garage overnight to keep Mr.Rat company. It's cheap, hastle free, chemical free, odourless and natural ... and if you setup a webcam you could charge for the "main event" and turn a tidy profit :D

Gary C 24 November 2005 12:52 PM

Years ago, had one in the neighbours shed, dad put his Ferret in, no problem after :)

Colinj 24 November 2005 12:56 PM

Hide in the garage then smash it over the head with a hammer!!!! :)

Brun 24 November 2005 12:59 PM

IN THE STICKS 24 November 2005 01:12 PM

Had one in our garage last year , the thing was so smart it wouldn't touch any traps etc , so in the end I had to poison the fecker , made a real bad smell when it did pop it's clogs though .

gingerboy 24 November 2005 02:10 PM

My mates got a Berreta 12 bore and some 3" magnum shells, maybe I could ask him to pop along and take a few shots - just make sure you have a tin of paint and large pot of polyfilla handy along with a scraper to remove "ratty" from the floor / walls / ceilings.

Paul

ps - tease him out, my a**e

WRXewl 24 November 2005 10:20 PM

Dont know if they like the same stuff as mice but cut a grape in half and stick it on a sturdy trap. They got nuts for the half a grape

If your fully de-cated put some food down for it and leave the engine ticking over that should hopefully do the trick nicely.

mg driver 24 November 2005 11:06 PM

yeah slap a mars bar up ya zorst wait till he goes up then put some mesh over the end and go drive your favourite roads for an hour,,,upon your return you can dine on barbecued rat,,,,,or lob it over the hedge if you prefer.:norty: p.S even better if you got one of them things that makes flames come out ya zorst.:eek2:

They like the smell don't they??????? of sewers that is which my arse is very similair to :freak3:. Too much information? I should say so fella :thumb:.

Maybe thats an idea - to tempt the rat out as suggested by "neutral cruiser" you could shove a mars bar up your a**e bend over and wait and see if ratty is tempted :norty: . Personally I would stick with the 12 bore option just to see what the end result is.

dave-h 25 November 2005 03:59 PM

Best thing is to borrow someones Python and let it loose in ya garage, when it hungrey its rat for dinner for the python.
