Clearing Error Codes
Now that I've cured my fuel pump problem, is there any way to clear the flashing 'check engine' light? I cleared an error with a solid 'check engine' light ages ago by disconnecting the battery negative for ten minutes, I've tried this for the flashing light but it doesn't want to know.
I'm thinking of ringing the dealer tomorrow because the light wasn't flashing until they messed about with it. They said that it was the ECU recognising that there is a fuel pump problem (it was the wiring under the rear seat) at the time, I'm thinking of asking them to clear the light as I've rewired the pump and the car is running fine. Does anyone know how to clear this error code please? Cheers Grim |

Cheers Grim I'm still going to drop the plugs out at the weekend to make sure that the fuel pump problem (the connector was loose and there was evidence of some arcing on the plastic) hasn't caused any lean running but I'm hopeful that all is well.
