just had my fog light cover modded to help my APS breathe better

i like that; subtle and original. You may want to think about putting mesh behind it...i ran my old air intake without mesh and the amount of ****e (leaves ets), that got sucked into the inner arch was incredible:)

I think this mod has longevity and its a pratical one too :)

I think you need matching covers, looks a bit out of sync like it is. Original if nothing else, which is good IMHO.

I have also seen some lovely carbon covers with holes in (similar to yours) which would look good on a black car with carbon bonnet and splitter maybe.
