54 WRX decat and centre section

Hi there, i have got a 2004 V-ltd impreza and i bought a centre section and decat and back box the other day, went to fit them and the centre section and decat were not right. The parts were for a new age car. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the jap imports and Uk cars?? don't want to go and get another one and find out that doesnt fit
