Hi guys & girls

Anyone from the Portsmouth area fancy meeting up again? Think the last meet in the area was at the view point overlooking Pompey (The Churchillian??). Any suggestions for a venue and a date?

Come on .... I know there's loads of you out there.

Hiya
If someone who knows the area wants to say where and when I'll be there!
I think if you made it slightly Southhampton-way a bit you might get a few more cars turn up, only a thought though!

What about portsolent http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
not far from the motorway and reasonably easy to get to for southampton and pompey(just don't talk footy http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)

I'm not far from Pompey - Love to come - Last Sunday in Feb (26th) ?

Port Solent is very easy to find for those from out of the area but might be busy, parking-wise.

Directions to the Churchillian and I'll be there http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Stroudy 29 January 2001 12:24 AM

Hi, I'm from Southampton way, I'd like to join the meet.
If people are interested I'll look into somewhere in town ? maybe by the old pier ??? Any other Southamptoners about.. with ideas ?

Mr.Cookie 29 January 2001 01:28 AM

actually on thinking aout this going to agree with gussie port solent might be busy on a sunday esp as there undergoing changes with the car park, we could all do the wessex bowl reasonable bar should be quite and we could all take the p*ss out of my bowling http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Si

phill chinn 29 January 2001 10:17 AM

I would have to agree that port solent would be to busy parking wise. the seafront or fun fair could be another alternative, it all depends on what people want to do.
If its pub for good food then the churcillian is good, or if it's just tea and bacon buttys then the view point or the sea front are good.
just my 2p's worth

I don't know scumhapton (sorry Southampton) that well to make any suggestions about a good place there.

Theres another 2 cars from Winchester that'll come down too. (STI 3 + STI 3 Type-R) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

So do we have an opinion on the Churchillian? I've never been (never even heard of it!), but if someone posts some decent directions I think we should get quite a few cars/people down there.

For want of a better time, how about the last Sunday in Feb (25th)?

Any takers?

phill chinn 30 January 2001 08:48 AM

I've got a couple of bit maps, with directions to the churchillan.
I have absolutely no idea how to post them, as I'm an arse when it comes to computer stuff.
I could forward them to some one with more than the half a brain cell I have.

Karlos 31 January 2001 07:34 AM

OK Phil,

I'll be there, as long as you all don't take the p*ss out of my recently aquired parking damage on the rear bumper... I'm never lending the missus the car again!! How she managed to f**k up both corners is beyond me...... Surprised Gary Foster hasn't posted on here yet! I'll drop him a mail!!!

Karlos

Gary Foster 31 January 2001 02:09 PM

Oooh ! This is exciting ! (Cheers Karl !)

I'll be coming if I've managed to get new brakes by then (I bloody hope so !), failing that I'll push the car there http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

For all you guys traveling down, Churchillian is very easy to get to, you won't need to go into Portsmouth as it's outside the Island on a big hill. It's quite a pretty view as well.

Gary

RON 31 January 2001 09:32 PM

Hi Guys
I might make it, I'll know nearer the time.
Ron

Karlos 31 January 2001 10:41 PM

Gussie Cup,

I'll drop you my mobile number nearer the time. I actually live in Gosport (I don't want to hear it from you true Pompey boys!)which is between Portsmouth and Southampton
so could meet you at say, Junction 11 of the M27 and then you could follow me to the Churchillian if you like? This offer's open to anyone else coming from far a field. Let me know...

Gary,

Good, you got my mail then! Let me know if you need a lift!

Chizz,

Rest assured I shall be taking the opportunity for maximum gandering! :-)

Hey, Did I pass any of you guys today in Havant? I just pulled off New Lane by Wyeth laboratories at around 13:40 and spotted a nice looking Silver scooby coming out of the next turning. Didn't get the reg. I was in my red MY96.....Anybody...? It'd be nice to know another scooby parks in the area during the day, so all the Leigh Park boys have got another one to go for other than mine! ;-)

Karlos
