Did you really have to sandpaper the back of the dials? Nice way to get grit and crap into the gauge mechanisms!!
I have a blue MY00, so would like blue dials too to match (car and ICE head unti), is it the same trick for these? Si |

I got mine done. Replaced 5 bulbs in total, at a cost of around £5. Was a fiddly job, but if you take the dials out it becomes much easier, and you can hold them up to the light to check all the green is off.
|
well mine already has the red clocks - however want to change the heater controls to match. they was a really good explanation on how to do it recently so will be giving it a go soon - fingers crossed!

has anyone tried to just re paint the back of the dials with a new thin based colour after sanding? or would that be too easy! just an idea to save changing bulbs or soldering and putting on covers etc! willsy

done my hvac too. the easiest was to solder the bulbs straight to the circuit board on the hvac panel took 30 mins in total result was.......... http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...o/bluehvac.jpg :thumb: |
i done my dials a few weeks ago, i didnt opt for the bulb change though, instead i decided to slide some red transparent model aircraft film in behind the dials, it looks great and didnt get hotspotting whatsoever
