If I have my car, I'd like to join the convoy - where is South Mimms services?

If I don't have my car by then, I want sympathy.

Jake 13 July 2000 02:07 PM

I will try and meet you guys there

Scott J Davies 13 July 2000 03:34 PM

Jake, Good work Fella.

Trig

South Mimms is on the junction where the A1 meets the M25.

Jake 13 July 2000 04:40 PM

there has got to be more than three of us In north london come on!

Triggaaar 13 July 2000 05:43 PM

Make that 2 of you - I'm west London, and RichR and richards are around the Kingston area - so I'm in the middle of you all. If you want a big convoy, somewhere near the M40 M25 junction may be the best idea, since I assume we want the M40 to get there - fairly big assumption given that I only know the airfield is somewhere in oxfordshire.

cdunleavey 13 July 2000 08:11 PM

I'm in West London too, and would be happy to meet up beforehand.

Coming from W2, so let me know if you are close and want to catch up.

Cheers
Colin

Jake 14 July 2000 09:42 AM

I know the back roads (B158)

Scott J Davies 14 July 2000 01:36 PM

Okaly Dokaly

We'll have a pre - rendezvous at South Mimms and then meet on the M40 going to Oxford, where though? Unless we have a mobile phone communication on route??

What dya think

gregh 14 July 2000 01:49 PM

I'll be coming from the North down the M40, I think I'm staying near Warwick the night before.

Greg

Triggaaar 21 July 2000 03:44 PM

Scott, Jake, Colin and co.
Well, we need to sort this out (meeting point on M40)

How about Junction 2 of the M40 (Beaconsfield - M40 crosses A355)

Chu 22 July 2000 10:21 AM

i take it your meeting at the services?!

Triggaaar 22 July 2000 10:45 AM

There's a services there? Bonus!

Chu, do you know that there's a services there? If so, that would be good, otherwise I'd just look for a suitable place to stop, as there aren't any obvious services stations around the M40.

Colin, I can make 8:30, but the others may not be able to - you won't be last if we in convoy!

cdunleavey 22 July 2000 12:01 PM

Junction 2 of M40 is good for me, but how about 8:30am rather than 9am as I don't want to arrive last, especially after arranging the day !!!

Ian Sutton 23 July 2000 03:06 PM

ERMMM very messy.. South Mimms services between 8.00 and 8.30 probally won't catch you M40 boys up but will give it a try .Is it just SJD Jake and I ??

...Ian

Triggaaar 23 July 2000 08:01 PM

Sorted - I'll be at junction 2 at 8:30, flagging down anyone in an impreza.

Scott, Jake, Ian - let us know how far you've got after 8:30 - if you're anywhere near we could wait.

I also had a great time, only overheated the brakes on the last run, sorry I missed you Jo, kept meaning to go and ask every lady there if her name was Jo, but somehow never got around to it!

Ref lunchbox, that was me, sorry Scott! If you want a new one let me know where you got it from and I'll sort you one out.

I did lend you my spanner/socket set though!

Did the car come back on boost and get home ok?

Greg

Scott J Davies 25 July 2000 12:37 AM

Greg

Jake 25 July 2000 09:36 AM

Sorry I didnt meet you guys at south mimms had a nightmare morning non-scooby related, anyway had a great day even though I did get black flagged!!! - I felt sorry for the guy whos cambelt casing gave him grief (Scott or Ian maybe didnt get your names sorry) It must have ruined your day.

Jake (MY00 DBM UK 4DR W529 XPP)

Scott J Davies 25 July 2000 09:56 AM

Jake

Was me, boohoo, had a wicked day up until then though.

God I really enjoyed that second session where there was me and a red car which I overtook and then we overtook everything. he he.

Jake sorry I missed you, I was rather looking forward to putting more names to faces. But I'm afraid the ol cambelt cover put pay to that.

Ian nice bloke thanks for your wrench kit help and lifts to the RAC man.

To the man that destoyed my titanium kevlar Lunchbox, I will want it replacing. Please contact NASA and give them your credit card details.

Scott Bitten By the Track Day Bug Davies

Jake 25 July 2000 11:05 AM

Dont worry scott you didnt miss me I was parked up beside you most of the day (blue 4 door uk with trashed tyres) I should have made more of an effort to put names to faces. I am sure I have seen you in Highgate and Muswell hill area I used to have a black WRX J8 KEA. Ring any bells.

Jake
