Sorry to post in this area, but I figured I might get a bit more response from putting this here.

A while back my WRX was broken into and stripped (See General- Thieves have killed my WRX...., Warning Impreza stolen in Evesham... etc)

The thing is, the car has been written off as a result and is now being stored at Century Salvage in Wisbech Cambridge.

BUT Admiral authorised the car to be removed before the date they had given me to remove my Scoobysport Exhaust (and other personal belongings). So the car is sat in Cambridge (I live in Derbyshire) and it needs the exhaust taking off.

Admiral have agreed to get me the exhaust back, but have asked me to try and find out from the SIDC/BBS any dealers/garages in the area who would be willing to quote to take it off.

Any Ideas? Has anyone had a SS pipe fitted in Cambs?

If its a dealer they will need to be import friendly as it's a WRX.

Thanks for any advise

Try Welch's of Great Shelford. They're a proper dealer, but are fairly import-friendly - they current have an STi 2 or 3 in their showroom which they're selling for someone as a trade-in. They're on 01223 843015.

Good luck, + sorry to hear about it being written off etc.

Cheers
Richard

Wisbech is in Cambridgeshire, but a long way from Cambridge !
Stoneacre in Peterborough are the nearest place I can think of, they used to be a Subaru dealer until about a year ago.
Is it just a backbox which anywhere ought to be able to do or a complete system ?

Thanks for the replies,
I'm going to give Welch's a ring later as they seem to be well recommended.

As well as BB it is also Mid-section and down pipe. So really only the downpipe should be fiddley. Either way any half clued up mechanic should be able to get it off.

The trouble is, it will have to be done without the aid of a lift unless it is transported somewhere.

Thanks again, and anymore recommendations (particularly of any garages that have fitted SS exhausts in this area before would be helpful and greatly appreciated)
