Opterons are still expensive. GOOD ;)

Haven't bothered upgrading to 64bit yet - I remember initial reviews were a little underwhelming.

If only hard disk technology progressed at the same rate! Sick and tired of crappy performance. About time some big flash disks came out to replace them!

Q1'06 will see a price drop on AMD64s and Opterons - no exact date AFAIK.
Just before they release skt M2....

not worth it atm as theres little software for it plus no benefit unless you have 8Mb or more

I would love to see some large, fast flash disks :D :D

I am sick of the noise that normal hard drives make. I select the ones I buy very carefully, have then in acoustic enclosures and not directly attached to my case to reduce vibrations. You can still hear the buggers crunch away if you get a "fast" one.
