X-box 360 Master discs Just had them in my hands

Just had to ship these to Microsoft in LA, Seattle and X-box Japan in Tokyo, the customer wanted the full on board courier treatment so we have sent a member staff with each one of them to ensure security/loss.

Had a squint at the invoice only reference was GTO L1 ( a new game??)
Value of masters $1.00 per disc......

Something tells me they are worth a little more than that, anything to get past C&E ;)

arent the xbox 360 disks going to be all high definition disks so they wont be that easy to copy ????

Nope, DVD at present. MS hasn't made a firm decision on future formats, so whether add-on drives become available later remains to be seen.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Microsoft had committed themselves to the HD DVD format. Although the X360 comes with a standard DVD drive.

Some proper Barcoded security seals on them, all flying to their destinations as we speak.

I'll be taking the next lot !!

MS, commit ? Never ;) AFAIK, they are certainly leaning towards the HD DVD format though, as you say.

Interesting comment from the man himself:

Gates' comments on the future of the HD DVD and Blu-Ray formats in a recent speech at Howard University were particularly interesting, pointing to a future where optical discs would become obsolete and content delivery would take place via the internet.
In his words: "The format that's under discussion right now, HD versus Blu-ray, that's simply the last physical format we'll ever have.
Even videos in the future will either be on a disk in your pocket or over the Internet and therefore far more convenient for you."

Microsoft And Bill Gates himself did pledge 100% backing of the HD format a month ago however its way too late to include it with the xbox 360 release.
