Seat Leon 20V T

Hi there,

Anyone had any experience of these. I'm not looking at a cupra R but the 180 bhp cupra (or 20V T)

Cheers.

Martin.

They are not all 225bhp, the early cars were 210bhp.

Cheers,

Hi mate,

I would go for the Cupra R is you can, it has all those nice little extras. my dad just picked one up from a main dealer ex-demo 2000miles and on an 05plate for far less than the list price so there are some bargains to be had.

Performance and equipment is good, build quality and reliability are good, although no 4wd so you just have to be that bit more careful than in the Subaru. The power delivery is also smooth and the mpg isn't bad if driven normally. The 4-pot Brembos are also far better that the 4-pots on my classic i was really quite suprised how well it stops.

They are a good alternative to the other hot hatches out there.

Cheers

Ash

Basically a good and satisfying car for what you pay. Driving it is about riding a wave of torque which, with the gearing, means that it can be very relaxing to drive quickly. If you want a blast, it will satisfy with plenty of grins in 3rd. Steering feel is acceptable. Economy is pretty good if driven sensibly (ie not constantly flooring the throttle, but leaving that for when the roads are empty). As others have indicated, modding is easy. The interior is OK, sound system good, climate control worth having, seats pretty comfy (certainly better than a scoob!).

The downside is the bounciness of the suspension which can make the car feel nervous and discourages pressing on on poor surfaces.

Hope this helps.
