Setting up a PSP on secure wireless

Hi

I now have my PSP running on a secure wireless access point for Internet access. I have secured the network by restricting to it's MAC address but would also like to use WPA. The 3Com Access point allows me to enter a WPA passphrase which it then converts to loads of binary type alphanumerics. I can't however setup the passphrase on ther PSP, I tried both the phrase & also the loads of numbers & I also tried WEP, but it doesn't work. Has anyone else got this working on the PSP?

Worked first time for me:
I use 128bit WEP - the Wireless router code is 13 hex digit pairs: xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx - I just entered it into the PSP and bingo!

Thanks for your reply. Did you put the spaces between the pairs?

Mine seems to work intermittently. I try it and it doesn't work, (fails to connect), then I retry and it works. Seems fine if I remove the security completely. Not sure what's going on, but I'm not that worried as I don't use the internet connectivity anyway :)

There are plenty of people on forums with similar probs. I struggled with this for ages, but was always trying to download the bbc website. When I tried Google it worked straight away !!! This is with 128 bit wep encryption.

No, just the numbers (in hex e.g. AD F6 3B etc.).
