New Apple announcemnts

Apple have just annunced revised PowerMac and PowerBooks a few minutes ago.

Revised 2Gb machines and 2.3S and updates to the PowerBook range.

Availabuility is good and we already have stock eg 173 of the base 2Ghz G5.

We do expect nearly all stock to clear tomorrow though so if you want anything please contact your preffered Apple reseller.

NB Ipod Nano stock is still in global constraint so order now for Xmas !

Yep but is it my memory playing up but did'nt Steve Jobs say they had some really cool stuff coming along this year. Well time's up and the Nano is the only product which I would class as ground breaking !

Mac Mini - Yep mucho smallness but slow due to 2.5"HD

PB's with higher res screen, nice but no speed bump !

Quad G5 PowerMac's OK a step in the right direction but the dual core processor has been available for ages, you would think that Apple would have access prior to launch with a product hard on the heals of the processor launch.

TBH Apple has not taken additonal revenue from me this year, well OK a Mac Mini, 12"PB (Mrs Rich) and 17"PB ( for ME :) )

But I had hoped that 2005 would be the year that Apple took Home Entertainment to the wider public.

Well not so sure I can be asked to visit Olympia as there really is nothing worth looking at, remember 2004 was a good year - 30" Display's, iPod photo and Tiger Beta.

Anyways happy to see Apple taking the limelight again but perhaps innovation should be the byword and not simply progression !
