Performance Air Filter
 

My 2003 WRX is booked in for its 30k service. I notice looking in the maintenance schedule the airfilter is to be changed. Upon reading this, is there a reasonably priced upgraded performance filter I could fit instead???

Look in "Group Buys" forum, there's a deal on Green filters and cleaning kits, just under £40 for the filter.....

These are supposed to be one of the best and they never need replaced, just cleaned at your usual service interval.....

Some (s)dealers are mod friendly, especially with something as trivial as an air filter, but most aren't and it is believed that they have been asked by IM to log any mods they notice at service inspections for reference in any potential future warranty claims.

Of course, you don't have to have the service done at an offical franchised dealer ;)
