The BBO 05 - what happened?

Ho guys... fair dues to all who stayed on! - I arrived at the Norbreck castle Hotel in formation as expected. 45 mins later I had just passed the Hotel! - nothing was moving. I'm afraid I cut my losses and went home :nono:

Anyway hope things moved on a bit for you...

Good turn out though...

redwrx 16 October 2005 01:28 AM

Ive just got home ........

Well, what can i say ......... what an awesome night.

A BIG thanks to everyone who turned up. The meet at Fleetwood was quite spectacular.

A special thanks to

Andyd from Fleetwood, for all his hard work, helping to sort the venue.
Andy (Sticky Stuff - 'OnSigns') for donating the Stickers
Julian - For being excentric enough to wear the crazy luminous jacket - he offered to be our money collector, along with my daughter and neice.
Thanks to my bro, in the blue peugeot, for going ahead and giving traffic reports
And thanks to everyone who donated - im too tired now, but i will count it all in the morning, but we raised approx £600.

The traffic report at 6.25 was that the road through to the lights was clear - hence the slightly earlier than planned departure......unfortunately the mini's got there before us, and held everything up.

Look forward to seeing all the pics.

Once again a big thankyou to you all

Hope everyone had a safe journey home

Frank

Big-G 16 October 2005 01:31 AM

Well What can I say another amazing night !!!, we managed to get there just as everybody was leaving the hotel, so it was a quick dive into the carpark to donate to Julian collect our BBO stickers and then out again, shame the minis got there before us but as they say sh1t happens !!!, the traffic can not be helped in Blackpool you start one end one year you hit it and the same this year but for those who stuck it out good on ya, we may have been stuck in traffic for a hell of a time but I tell you what I would like to see people have such a laugh when stuck in traffic nose to tail on any other road, once we had got through the traffic lights entering the start of the illuminations the traffic flowed well.

A big thanks goes out to Frank and everybody else who made it a night to remember ( Once again ) was nice to see so many turn up at Mac D's as well, so lets not have all the wot happened / it could have been better organised posts look on the lighter side of things, think of the money we all raised for the charity and the kids we help out doing things like this !!!

We raised - £635 - A BIG thankyou.

Just finished counting the funds, we raised £580 on the night, plus we had a £50 donation and a £5 donation from a non-scoobynet person.

So the Total donation to 'Give A Child A Chance' is £635

Once again, a Massive thankyou to all who attended, and donated.

Did you stay in the queue right through the lights? I followed that Silver Classic down the side roads and came out in front of the Minis :)

Lovely car by the way

The Grift 16 October 2005 12:40 PM

We wondered where everyone was going, we stuck it out, even thought about nipping into Yate's for a p1ss, maybe not.

Those pesky mini's. Heard that's why we were stuck in traffic so long.

I take it you enjoyed the set off from Marine hall. I put my foot down to avoid the yellow evo flying into the back of me. He was snaking all over. Great fun. Bet the locals were loving it.

Only had my turbo a few weeks and was made up to keep up with the new Sti in front of me on full pelt.. and on the way home with another classic..

Couldnt get over the Scoobie holding traffic at the roundabout Class.. The race off from the Hall was great :) the noise was amazing.. kept getting people in the queues telling me my car was great :) never get too much of that:)
